Overseen by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, the Academic Affairs Office oversees all academic-related matters at Penn State Altoona. The Academic Affairs budget supports almost all undergraduate credit instruction and provides support services for all academic programs offered at Penn State Altoona. The Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs is responsible for hiring and supervising faculty, developing and delivering academic programs, and supervising academic services.
Providing support to faculty and staff who develop requests for external funding of research, teaching, and service is the responsibility of the Director of Research as head of the Research and Engagement Office.
Providing support to faculty and staff with institutional research, strategic planning, policy, and/or assessment needs is the responsibility of the Associate Dean for Policy and Planning, who heads the Office of Planning and Institutional Research. The Associate Dean for Policy and Planning also oversees the Student Success Center.
